ClosureCast is a mobile app that tracks active road construction across 25 US states. We provide project timelines, weekly status updates, and localized alerts so you can plan your commute around roadwork, not through it.
“Closure” refers to road closures and construction zones, while “Cast” represents broadcasting: delivering that information directly to you. Together, ClosureCast means we’re broadcasting road closure intelligence to keep you informed.
From publicly available government and municipal construction records across the states we cover. We aggregate, clean, verify, and standardize that data so it’s accurate and easy to act on. ClosureCast isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.
We currently cover 25+ states across the US, and we’re always adding more. Coverage is highway and major-road focused. We also pull public data from the National Park Service (NPS) to track road closures in select national parks (like Acadia, Grand Teton, and the Natchez Trace Parkway), even in states we don’t yet cover statewide. For the live list, or to request your state, visit our Coverage page.
Yes. Two reasons. First, your saved watchlists, city preferences, and notification settings all need to be tied to an account so they sync across devices. Second, ClosureCast does real work to clean, verify, and centralize this data from dozens of public government data sources, and we want to make sure that’s used by drivers and not silently scraped by bots. The Free account is, well, free (no credit card, no trial, no spam) and gets you access to the live data.
You can delete your account directly within the app by navigating to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your personal data from our active systems. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account. For full details, see our Data Deletion Policy.
Yes. Your data is stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with encryption, row-level security policies, and regular security audits. We don’t sell or trade your personal information.
We don’t track your live location. ClosureCast does not pull GPS data from your phone, access your contacts, read your photos, or collect any financial information. You tell us which ZIP codes and roads matter to you, and we use that information only to filter what construction zones you see and to send you alerts on the areas you save.
For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Yes. The Free tier gives you real-time construction tracking on the Weekly and Ongoing tabs and lets you view any single covered area at a time (your pick lasts the session). Basic is $5/mo or $54/yr and adds the Future tab, 1 saved coverage area, 1 saved watchlist, and push alerts when new construction hits that watchlist. Plus is $9.99/mo or $99/yr and adds the live map, 3 saved coverage areas, 5 saved watchlists, snooze controls, and 4-week advance planning. Pro is $19.99/mo or $215/yr and adds 5 saved coverage areas, 10 saved watchlists, 8-week advance planning, custom alert rules (work type, severity, lanes, keywords), event impact data, and priority feature requests. All paid plans include Founder PricingYour rate stays locked while your subscription is continuously active, even after we raise prices for new members. Cancel and resubscribe later = current market rate.: your rate stays locked for as long as you stay subscribed, even after we raise prices for new members.
Not while you stay subscribed. We call this Founder Pricing: once you subscribe at today’s price, your rate stays locked for as long as your subscription remains continuously active. As ClosureCast grows and we add features, we may raise prices for new subscribers, but existing members keep the rate they signed up at. While every other subscription you have keeps climbing, ours doesn’t.
One thing to know: the rate lock applies only to continuous subscriptions. If you cancel and later decide to resubscribe, you’ll be billed at our current rate at that time, not the original Founder rate. So if you’re on the fence, locking in early is the move.

No. ClosureCast is an informational tool, not a GPS or turn-by-turn navigation service. We help you plan ahead by showing you what construction is happening in your area, but you should always follow posted road signs and never use the app while driving.
ClosureCast is available on Android today. We’re actively working on the iOS version and will share availability as soon as we’re ready to launch. To be notified the moment iOS goes live, tap the “Notify me when iOS launches” button on the home page. You’ll only hear from us about the launch itself, not marketing.
We love hearing from our users! Three easy ways: open ClosureCast and tap the Suggestions option from the menu, visit our Suggestions page on this site, or email us directly at support@closurecast.com.
